6,402 yards • par 71
At 6,402-yards, this par 71 parkland layout features undulating greens, rolling fairways and five water hazards all set in beautiful surroundings.
The variation in holes makes the Glenisla both challenging to play and a memorable golfing experience.
In only its fifth year, Glenisla has already been described as presenting one of the best tests in the area. The most challenging hole, the 612-yard par five 12th, requires two well played shots to set up a straightforward third. The undulating green is very much a characteristic of the course, as is the layout of the hole which rewards well placed shots.
The 18th hole is fronted by the Alyth Burn, which makes the second shot a very daunting one - a great finishing hole.
Designed to offer a challenge to the more serious golfer off the back tees, the club golfer will find forgiveness for all but the most wayward shots from the forward tees.
The highly complimented course design is credited to Tony Wardle, who has worked alongside Robert Trent Jones and Jack Nicklaus, incorporating terrain and natural hazards.
The course has a variety of holes which present different questions each time they are played.
