7,082 yards • par 71
The course is unique – it straddles the Scottish lowlands and highlands with nine holes in each. Add to this the latest techniques and a modern greens seed mix, for what has to be one of the best putting experiences all year round.
Not to mention the excellent leisure and spa facilities, tempting cuisine and exceptional service. In one, The Carrick at Cameron House is a veritable treat for all golfers.
Challenge, variety and playability have been carefully integrated into the design to ensure an exciting and enjoyable golf experience for golfers of all abilities. Multiple tee placements on each hole provide a tremendous variety in yardage ranging from 5,200 yards from the forward tees to more than 7,000 yards from the championship tees.
Touring professional Paul Lawrie (Open Champion 1999) has played the Course and comments: “Doug Carrick’s spectacular course layout is a true test of golf. The changes in elevation allow you to enjoy unparallel views across Loch Lomond.”
Guests can choose to travel to The Carrick either by car or by boat onboard the beautiful 1937 launch, Belle Époque, from the hotel jetty. The boat journey takes golfers past the resort’s nature reserve which was created with the input of Scottish Natural Heritage and the RSPB and stretches over 100 acres.
